Volunteer Drivers
“I was a TADD driver for 5 years and really enjoyed doing journeys and as mileage is paid, was never out of pocket. I loved every minute. Give it a try and help your local community."
Are you able to volunteer as a TADD driver? Can you offer a few hours a week to help people in YOUR community?
Our fleet of volunteer drivers is the lifeblood of TADD (Towcester Area Door to Door) community transport. They provide an invaluable service, taking people to their medical-related appointments and other venues which contribute to their wellbeing and independence and help combat loneliness and isolation.
We continually require new voluntary drivers to meet the increasing needs of our ageing population. Many of our volunteers are retired and approaching old age themselves, and so each year we need to replace some as they become unable to continue due to changes in their personal circumstances.
Without the continued recruitment of new volunteers, we would struggle to help the elderly and vulnerable in YOUR community.
Would you like more information about becoming a volunteer driver?
Send us a message with your contact number and an indication of a suitable time for us to call you so that we can discuss what is involved. We will then ask you to complete and submit the form below.
The information in the application form is required for checking by the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) and will not be used until we have discussed the role and have your agreement to proceed.
